If you are a client looking for companionship or a carer looking for a break, we can offer a service to fulfil those needs.
Your befriender will always take time to listen to you and share life’s ups and downs.
As your friendship with our befriended grows, you may find life looks more interesting again. Regular monthly trips and coffee mornings are organised by the service manager. Outings include visits to a garden centre or local places of interest.
Wider social networks
If you have lived alone for many years, you may also find your confidence returns as your volunteer helps you get out and about in your local community.
About our befrienders
Thorough checks and references are completed, so you can be completely assured that they will be reliable and treat you with dignity and respect.
We carefully match you with a befriender based on shared interests, likes, dislikes and beliefs
We regularly check to see how your friendship is progressing
As long as they are able to, your specific befriender will always be the one to visit you
All our befrienders are given training that covers age-related concerns, which helps to build their knowledge and empathy.
